Accessibility statement

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. Charcom and the realtor sites it powers aim for WCAG 2.1 level AA conformance.

• Semantic HTML on every page (proper headings, landmarks, lists)
• Keyboard-navigable forms, buttons, and links, visible focus indicators on every interactive element
• Alt text on all decorative and informational imagery; agent-uploaded listing photos use the listing title as fallback alt text
• ARIA labels on icon-only controls
• Color contrast meets WCAG AA on all five themes (verified with automated audit tooling)
• Skip-to-content link at the top of every page, focusable via Tab
• Form fields have explicit labels
• No content blinks, flashes, or auto-plays audio
• Modal dialogs (cookie banner, re-acceptance gate) trap focus and announce themselves to screen readers

We're not perfect. Despite our best efforts, parts of the Service may not yet be fully accessible. If you encounter a barrier, a button you can't reach with the keyboard, an image without alt text, contrast that's too low, anything, please tell us.

Email support with the page URL and a brief description of the issue. We aim to respond within 5 business days and to remediate verified issues within 30 days where reasonably possible.

Each Charcom-powered realtor site inherits the same accessibility measures from our shared theme components. Realtors are responsible for the content they publish (alt text on uploaded images, descriptive listing titles, plain-language copy).

We provide tooling and prompts to help, for example, listing uploads remind agents to add descriptive titles, and our editor flags listings without descriptions before publish.

Charcom and tenant sites are tested against:

• Screen readers: VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), NVDA (Windows), TalkBack (Android)
• Browsers: Latest Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari (mobile and desktop)
• Zoom: Up to 200% with no horizontal scroll on mobile
