Refund Policy
This Refund Policy describes when refunds are available for Charcom subscriptions and add-ons. It is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service.
1. Monthly subscriptions — no partial-month refunds
Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance for one calendar month at a time. We do not issue refunds for partial months. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain full access to the Service until then.
2. 7-day satisfaction guarantee — first-time signups only
If you cancel within seven (7) calendar days of your first successful payment AND no significant content has been published on your Tenant Site (i.e., your site is still substantially in its onboarding/template state), we will refund the first month's payment in full on request.
Conditions:
- Available once per Subscriber, on the very first signup only. Reactivations and second accounts do not qualify.
- Request must be made by email to [BILLING_EMAIL] within the 7-day window.
- "Significant content" means more than five (5) listings published, more than three (3) blog posts published, or any custom domain pointed to the Tenant Site.
3. Founder Members — same first-time guarantee
Founder Members are eligible for the same 7-day first-time satisfaction guarantee on the same terms. Canceling within the 7-day window forfeits the Founder slot, which returns to the available pool for the next paying Subscriber.
4. Add-ons
Add-ons (custom-domain registration fees passed through to registrars, IDX/MLS feed setup fees, premium themes, etc.) are non-refundable once provisioned with third parties, because we have already paid the third party on your behalf.
5. Service sunset refunds
If Charcom discontinues the Service entirely, Founder Members and other prepaid Subscribers receive a pro-rata refund of unused prepaid amounts as described in the Founder Pricing Addendum, Section 10.
6. Chargebacks
Before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer, you agree to first contact [BILLING_EMAIL] to give Charcom a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue. Initiating a chargeback in bad faith (e.g., when the Service was provided as agreed) may result in account termination, retention of any data-export window, and referral of the disputed amount to collections, in addition to the chargeback fees we are charged by Stripe.
